Spring Season
Our Spring Season started with a few surprises, and two wonderful concerts of The Healing Circle at The Brunei Gallery, SOAS University of London and at Bush House, King's College London for the annual conference of The British Forum of Ethnomusicology. How special and fitting for us to play in the theatre at Bush House where, for 100 years, the BBC World Service broadcast around the globe under the motto 'nation shall speak peace unto nation'.

IBC
Since then, we’ve had a very busy summer. Working with Zoran Cvetkovic from Kings College London’s Engineering department (signalling) and Gareth Llewellyn at Magic Beans Audio, we have been creating audio for immersive and 3-dimensional relay and broadcast, and that in turn brought us to the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) Accelerate programme. This involved a recording day back at Bush House, Aldwych working with MIT, SHURE microphones, Black Magic Cameras, BBC R&D, ITV, MagicBeans, KCL- all bringing cutting edge technology to test and challenge.
IFeL
Peter has just returned from the IBC’s own Immersive Festival Live (IFeL) at the RAI in Amsterdam where he was able to share these experiences and resulting recordings with the whole of the technological world working in broadcasting and recording. It really is a wonderful time to be working with such cutting edge technology.
Autumn Season
Alongside all the relays and broadcasting research, the live experience of music and collaboration still remains central to our work and our ethos. We’re currently preparing for concerts this Autumn Season- one for Bloomsbury Festival, at Goodenough College in Mecklenburg Square, where you can also experience MagicBeans’ immersive audio experiences in the college quad, and for the London Jazz Festival in our beloved home at Club Inégales.
